It is the most basic level at which a language is used, called the "discovery" stage. At this stage, the student can interact in a simple way. He/she can speak about him/herself and his/her immediate environment.
DELF A2/GOETHE A2 / DELE A2
This level recognises the linguistic competency of a basic user. At the A2 level, the learner can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring the most common polite phrases and exchanges of information.
DELF B1 / GOETHE B1 / DELE B1
At this level, the student can interact more; can understand and maintain a discussion and give opinions. They are also capable of dealing with various language related situations likely to arise in daily life.
DELF B2 / GOETHE B2 / DELE B2
This level of proficiency, which corresponds to an upper intermediate level in French. Students can manage quite comfortably in the language in most situations. This level of proficiency is the minimum requirement for: Study in France, Study in Switzerland and Quebec immigration.
DALF/ DELE C1
Students at this level are equipped with a large vocabulary and can express themselves fluently and independently. They are able to choose suitable expressions to introduce their comments and produce clear and well-constructed sentences.
DALF C2 / DELE C2
At this level, students’ proficiency in the language is illustrated by precision, appropriateness and fluency of expression. They are capable of using the language for academic and advanced-level purposes.
